Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a bright, articulate and self-motivated individual who has a desire to break in to software services sales. Selected candidates will have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm that demonstrates initiative and professionalism. This person will be responsible for identifying potential leads, initiating contact with relevant stakeholders, qualifying leads via videocalls / meetings, and translating them in to pre-sales opportunities.

Selected candidates will have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm that demonstrates initiative and professionalism. This person will be tasked with generating sales and achieving maximum profitability against annual sales targets. Key responsibilities include :

  • Researching and prospecting new customers as well as progressing existing opportunities
  • Collect prospective customer data and generate appointments through cold-calling activities 
  • Achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly metric goals through outbound efforts and new qualified appointments 
  • Identify key decision makers and develop strategic relationships by understanding their complex business challenges and becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Cultivate relationships to encourage referenceable customers, with the primary focus to acquiring new business from prospecting to closure.
  • Manage client & prospect meetings and follow-up all meetings as necessary and within agreed timeframes.
  • Generating and increasing revenues through sales to new customers via outbound contact through social media and other channels, following a cold-calling approach.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity.
  • Prepare for and participate in team meetings that will review performance, share ideas and initiatives, communicate objectives and agree on plans.
  • Adapt to specific requests from clients on an interaction to interaction basis.
  • Record detailed notes about the lead's needs and wants so as to tailor offerings
  • Convert quality conversations into leads, and qualifies them into opportunities.
  • Takes on miscellaneous responsibilities that are necessary to the generate and close leads in alignment with the growth roadmap of the company.

 

Required Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of Sales experience in the Software-as-a-Service sector, with focus on cold calls, lead generation, and nurturing them towards closure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn, understand and work with new emerging technologies. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Articulate telephone communications skills, comfortable calling on clients at the CXO level and beyond 
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in Sales utilizing Consultative Sales techniques 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail (we want you to sweat the small stuff)
  • Ability to put notes in an online system
  • Self-motivated and hard working
  • Flexible and comfortable with constant change
  • Well-spoken and comfortable talking to business and revenue stakeholders on remote videocalls
  • Possess energetic and enthusiastic demeanor 
  • Highly motivated by financial target achievement and winning new contracts.
  • High level of self-motivation, and be able to consistently hit aggressive monthly targets.
  • Clear and confident vocal manner over voice and videocalls.
  • Quick thinking and able to competently handle objections.
  • Competitive nature with real drive to close aggressive targets.
  • Be confident, well presented and have good negotiation skills.
  • Be able to adapt and grow within a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Experience closing complex sales cycles in a consultative manner and achieving sales targets
