Job Purpose

This role is to assist both the Finance Managers in Arnott and BT.  This role will provide the opportunity to work with different functions within the accounting structure over the two companies.  The successful candidate with have responsibility for month end reporting for their P&L accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as ad-hoc project work when required. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Month End Responsibilities to include:
    • Journal postings to strict internal deadlines
    • The reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
    • Journal posting for other ad-hoc items.
  • Preparation of Management accounts reports for the business. Reviewing of reports and dealing with business partners from different functions resolving any queries.
  • Helping manage year end processes including preparation for Audit.
  • Work closely with AP/AR team in Poland and Leicester.
  • Ad Hoc projects, supporting the Finance Manager

 

Person Specification

This is an entry level role and is a great opportunity for someone who can meet the following key requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in Business, Finance or equivalent essential
  • Experience in an analytical/mathematical role
  • Experience within a retail environment
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Disciplined with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent numeric skills.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well within a team.
  • Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages with advanced excel knowledge.
  • Strong IT skills

 

WORKING HOURS
The weekly hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Sunday, candidates need to be able to work a flexible rota with a shift pattern which can start as early 08:00 and finish as late as 19:00
