Wordings Attorney

Description

Beazley is currently seeking a Wordings Attorney to provide wordings support to the Environmental and Professions team.  This role will work collaboratively with the underwriters and wordings team to ensure proper drafting of policies, endorsements and forms.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Work in conjunction with the Wordings Manager, Policy Wordings Attorney with (1) drafting policy wordings and endorsements (2) workflow management and (3) other wordings support as needed

  • Manage endorsement requests and forms library

  • Assume primary responsibility for operations of the Document Generation Tool (DGT) application, including production of new content and ongoing performance supervision/testing

  • Provide assistance with additional projects for underwriting management as needed

  • Where applicable, draft endorsement language for review by Wordings Manager

  • Work independently on projects as assigned

  • Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system.  These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groups.

 

Personal Specification:

 

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree Required

  • Paralegal Certificate or JD, preferred

  • Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS office, well developed spreadsheet skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing

    Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years professional level experience required
