Job Description
Director, Marketing will own the creative expression of our brand - that strives to help users across the world to get control of their online privacy. You will develop and bring to market a transformative customer experience that millions of users desire, but lack.

The goal is to inspire and engage consumers of the brand with every element of brand expression, messaging and communications and to successfully lead a team of consumer & digital marketers; creative and design professionals to bring this to fruition. This leader will be a consummate consumer marketer excited about developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy across, online marketing, customer acquisition, retention and content-driven marketing. This role will help devise & implement Marketing strategy and execute plans to maximize FigLeaf’s potential to dominate in a fast growing new consumer tech category.

The right candidate will have experience driving strategic activities involving customer acquisition planning, competitor displacement plans, improving renewal rates, building a loyal customer base and developing marketing best practices that can be used in other channels. This role requires high level of understanding of traditional and new customer acquisition methods such as, SEO, PPC, Content and contextual marketing. It also involves deep understanding of the customer experience funnel, Free and Freemium models of customer acquisition and maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV). The marketing executive will be responsible for the overall customer experience across website, email and product based customer communication and to ensure that we build a consistent brand experience across all channels.

This role will lead current advertising, customer engagement, BI, content marketing and design teams and will work closely with product, business development and support to ensure revenue, subscriptions, and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role is based in Kiev, Ukraine and reports to CMO, FigLeaf.

This role is responsible for

  • Defining overall consumer marketing strategy, including web, email and product based communications
  • Development and execution of direct to consumer Marketing strategy, GTM, Channel & Revenue mix
  • Managing and developing a team of high energy marketing managers across Advertising, Customer engagement, BI, Content Marketing and Design teams to deliver a world-class consumer experience
  • Managing external third parties such as Advertising Partners and Content Marketing Agency
  • Managing budgets across Advertising, Content Marketing, Education & Training and Administrative
  • Collaborating with product, engineering, business development and US based marketing teams
  • To build best practices for consumer acquisition, retention, experience. These practices to be used by our channel marketing team together with the partners
  • Drive all activities to ensure that quarterly customer acquisition and retention marketing objectives are met
  • Plan and approve the details of all marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Ensure all marketing groups and Product Management counterparts are in the loop on all activities.
  • Set quarterly goals targets and communicate expectations to all involved

Required experience and knowledge

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Marketing Director or higher in B2C
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a consumer-based, subscription model product or service
  • Leading and managing teams of 5 or more
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing marketing strategy
  • Experience in defining and launching marketing programs and promotions
  • Experience in customer experience management, website development and advertising
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the time
