Why we are recruiting

The World Economic Forum’s Centre for Cybersecurity works to improve the state of cyberspace. To this end it seeks to build applications for improved communication and collaboration between partners, harnessing the convening power of the World Economic Forum to improve trust in cyberspace globally. These application “platforms” will be channels to share insights and improve knowledge and skills across the spectrum of cyber functions, from analyst/practitioners to chief information security officers.

The successful candidate will manage the new Centre platform from design to launch and operation. He or she will promote its use amongst a select and curated community of top cyber professionals. The position will work closely with a content manager and be accountable for providing information of interest to the platform and C4C community. The role will manage stakeholders in the C4C and across the WEF and its partners.


Reporting Lines & Interactions

The successful candidate will report to the Centre for Cybersecurity’s Head of Security and Innovation. As the manager of the primary application platform for collaboration and communication amongst Centre stakeholders, the position will also have interactions with all other functions within the Centre as well as the other functions across the World Economic Forum.

Breakdown of main responsibilities

  • 70% Product management – oversight over technical development. Creation and operation of programs to promote use amongst a select group of cyber professionals
  • 20% Vendor management – oversight over third parties providing services for the Centre both for the platform and for other IT aspects for the Centre.
  • 10% project involvement – active participation in projects run by other groups in the Centre and possible across WEF.

The successful candidate will be assessed on

  • Successful implementation and operation of the C4C application platform, from Proof of Concept to initial launch, operational state and release of future versions
  • The successful delivery of a mobile version of the C4C application platform
  • The creation of a community of platform users
  • Defining and producing other key deliverables of the platform project
  • Successful participation in other C4C projects

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Experience in design, implementation and operation of large user based collaboration platforms.
  • 7-10 year experience in a significant cyber security role
  • Proven success in a technology delivery role
  • Experience managing products and project portfolios
  • Experience managing a team
  • Pertinent certifications in Cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, etc.) and project management (PMP) preferred.
