Travelzoo is seeking a strong Marketing Manager for our Paris office who will establish a Marketing Strategy for the French Market and lead and oversee all PR and communications activities. The Marketing Manager is responsible for accelerating our business growth by delivering marketing initiatives.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all PR and communications activities for the French market, including managing third party contractors and agencies
  • Increase Travelzoo brand awareness by closing partnership with brands, media & organization
  • Seek out new emerging platforms and tools to deliver growth and gain an advantage from early adoption
  • Management of all paid acquisition marketing and responsible for planning the spend, forecasting and managing a sizeable budget
  • Daily optimisation of media acquisition campaigns, using Google Analytics and various platform reports
  • Stakeholder management in team meetings including presentations of marketing performance and recommendations
  • Management of various agencies and consultants - search, creative, search engine optimisation, conversion rate optimisation, content marketing
  • Identify projects to help with member onboarding and activation
  • Using data to segment the member base and analyse their different needs and pain points
  • Copy writing - helping to distil communications into ad headlines, value propositions, blog posts, social media and offline brand communication
  • Work with data analyst to develop reporting on existing KPIs
  • Work with the product and development team to scope out IT project requests, laying out cost benefit and business impact to get allocated resources
  • Work with marketing colleagues in other markets to share best practice and learnings and work with cross-functional teams to coordinate campaigns with publishing calendar
  • Work with publishing team to develop initiatives to improve member engagement and retention

Candidate profile:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Proven marketing all-rounder with strong brand development experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Working knowledge of Excel including pivot tables
  • Comfortable working independently and with a team
  • Numerate and logical thinking
  • Well organised in order to manage conflicting priorities
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms
  • Working knowledge of uploading, optimising paid social ad campaigns and other biddable media platforms
  • An understanding of attribution models and their importance
  • Basic understanding of tracking and debugging
  • Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data to understand user behaviour
