Open Vacancy: Executive Chef

Location: Corfu, Greece

Contract: Full Time

Y our main accountabilities:

  • Overview all daily kitchen operations to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced
  • Guide, Train and develop staff including direct reports (Sous Chefs, Chefs De Partie)
  • Ensure sanitation and food standards are always met
  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Communicate importance of safety procedures and ensure employees adhere and understand all safety regulations
  • Create and monitor budget for all outlets of responsibility
  • Manage department expenses including food cost, supplies, uniforms and other equipment
  • Provide direction for menu development
  • Monitor quality of food products to ensure all standards are met
  • Review guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement
  • Empower and train employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Interact and supervise with all Chefs on training regarding food knowledge, menu composition and overall culinary outlets performance
  • Participate in Hotel meetings providing feedback on amongst others guest service, operational needs and financial objectives
  • Ensure smooth team performance and empower excellent colleague relationships
  • Provide feedback to team aiming in striving for excellence and developing subordinates
  • Lead by example with an ongoing ‘hands on’ managerial style


Your main qualifications/skills:

  • Culinary Degree or related major
  • 4 years’ Head Chef or Sous Chef experience
  • Cooking experience within a 5* luxurious environment
  • Knowledge of food costs for banquet & a la carte menus preparation
  • Computer Literacy 
  • Fluency in Greek & English
  • Strong communicative, interpersonal, managerial & problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management, multitask & organizational skills
