Analyst, Marketing Sciences

Kantar Insights Canada currently has an opportunity for an Analyst, Marketing Sciences in our Toronto office.  This position is for an individual with applied statistical/data science experience looking for a career in marketing and public opinion research.  In this role, you will use your analytical skills to perform various multivariate techniques on a variety of datasets to help provide insights to a wide variety of business questions.

  • Perform data manipulation and multivariate statistical analyses
  • Create and edit SPSS syntax files to perform statistical analyses and run existing programs
  • Collaboration with internal client service/management teams and other professional staff to identify research objective and communicate findings
  • Assist the Sampling Associate and the Director, Marketing Sciences in their analytical work
  • Recommend the appropriate multivariate statistical model to suit research objectives
  • Create statistical reports using MS Excel and/or MS Word summarizing the results of the analyses



  • Graduate degree in applied statistics, mathematics, or data science
  • Minimum of 2 years of programming experience using R or SPSS syntax
  • Good knowledge of sampling theory and experience in multivariate statistical techniques such as factor analysis, cluster analysis, conjoint analysis, path analysis, brand mapping, etc.
  • High aspiration towards learning new analytical techniques and software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, often under compressed timelines
  • An enthusiasm and interest in contributing to the growth of the business
  • Experience in analyzing market/survey research data would be an advantage
