The purpose of the role is to work directly with the Marketing & Communications Manager, Enrollment & Marketing director, senior management to help ADU maintain a strong presence within various social media platforms. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Leads the development of a social media strategy in alignment with the marketing infrastructure that supports the execution of ADU strategies.
  • Benchmark with other international and local universities to review best practices and ROI on Social Media spenditure.
  • Assists the Sr. Marketing Manager to develop the social media annual budget and ensures adherence.
  • Leads, manages and coaches the social media team

Social Media Communication Duties

  • Plans and executes crisis management procedures regarding communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establishes workflows for digital communication procedures for every medium utilized.
  • Develops strategies and programs for all of ADU’s digital applications including but not limited to:
  • Website and all social media platforms
  • Mobile application conceptual development and implementation
  • All social media enhancement projects.
  • Manages with cross-functional teams and external agencies to build communications plans that leverage the social media space.
  • Writes the content for all of ADU’s social media channels.
  • Manages internal/external social media communication projects.
  • Sets goals to increase ADU’s social media presence on channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.
  • Monitors all digital mediums on a daily basis.
  • Plans with marketing team to create branded social media campaign assets.
  • Ensures high standard of customer relationship management with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tracking and analyzing the impact of enrollment from social media efforts.

Data analysis and Reporting

  • Conducts daily and weekly data analysis reports of the university’s social media activity.
  • Provides feedback and advice based on social media research.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Marketing or PR
  • 6-8 years
  • experience in marketing, social media or content related role preferably within an agency.
  • Bilingual (English + Arabic)
  • Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing social media initiatives
  • Real experience planning social media programs
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,
  • Experience with leveraging social media management and analytics tools, including, but not limited to HootSuite, and other programs 
  • Experience writing and editing content for the social media space.
