Faculty in Mass Communication (English) – Abu Dhabi

The Mass Communication Program in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) was launched in Spring 2012 and has a state of the art professional TV studio and a media lab. CAS is accepting applications for faculty appointments at all ranks for Fall 2019 in the areas of Strategic Communication and Mass Communication core courses.
Mass Communication faculty members report to the Department Chair / Dean and participate in the growth and development of the University. The selected candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in both English and Arabic languages. The candidate should also participate in the university service.
Qualifications and Requirements:
•An earned doctorate from an accredited institute in a discipline within specialization.
•A practical experience in Public Relations and Advertising as well as an excellent experience in teaching theoretical Mass Communication courses.
•A record of outstanding achievement in higher education and scholarship.
•A track record of undergraduate and post graduate university teaching experience, relevant to the academic rank.
•Strong research record with reputed publications in the field.
•Experience in working with people from different ethnic backgrounds.
•Excellent communication skills, a commitment to the importance of scholarship and diversity, a spirit of entrepreneurship and an understanding of the role of the university in economic development.
•Familiarity with the new media technology will be considered as an added advantage.
