Flight Operations Project Manager

(based in Budapest)


Purpose of the position:

The Flight Operations project manager is responsible for mid and long term project management within flight operations. She/he establishes and leads teams assembled as per the needs of the particular project. Project are assigned by Flight Operations Management as well as are defined based on cross-functional initiative.


  • Launches and provides tracking of flight operations related project as per the assignments
  • Establishes departmental and cross-functional working groups tailored to the particular project initiative
  • Provides regular update and periodical reports to leadership of the organization
  • Ensure that departmental projects are managed and achieve the set goals within the defined timefarme  and budget to meet organizational targets
  • Provides feedback and cascades information with the department both verbal and in written form
  • Represent or supervise representation of Flight Operations department in facility management aspects
  • Besides Operations departments, cooperation with other Wizz Departments including but not limited to: IT, Purchasing, Airport Development, Controlling and Marketing within the scope of the responsibilities
  • Search and supervision of the external providers for network – wide supply of goods needed for normal functioning of the department
  • Propose use of IT powered technologies in order to increase departmental efficiency
  • Initiate and lead research and development of the new tools, services and processes in liaison with relevant internal and external parties,
  • Provide budget input and cost ownership within the scope of responsibility

  • Positive and result oriented attitude
  • Good communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Very good English (both written and spoken)

  • Previous experience and understanding of aviation industry
  • MS/BS degree
  • Qualification in project management
