We are recruiting a Wholesale Online Specialist to join our FlowerWorld operation in Derby. This is a new and truly exciting role which is pivotal to the success of FlowerWorld’s planned growth. 

Reporting to the Flower Manager- who manages the journey of flowers from grower to customer- you’ll work cross functionally with Manufacturing Operations including Technical, Wholesale and Online.

You’ll be an exceptional salesperson with a track record of using your negotiation skills to deliver great results. You’ll increase our business-to-business accounts and online business-to-customer sales, whilst all the time delivering outstanding account management. This is a unique opportunity to join the Morrisons’ family, yet have responsibility for developing an emerging brand.

About FlowerWorld:

FlowerWorld is unique to Morrisons manufacturing as it is our only non-food producing site.

With over 300 florists, each and every bouquet is treated with care and consideration before it leaves site ensuring the best possible quality to our customers. Not only that but we also use specialised techniques to first check how our flowers are going to develop through their life and then to keep them at their very best.

Here we make over 400,000 bouquets per week using both hand tying methods and machinery; during peak periods such as Valentines and Mothers Day this increases significantly.

Key accountabilities:

  • Build key relationships with external customers to gain a complete understanding of their business and requirements in order to develop and deliver a joint business plan
  • Work in collaboration with technical experts /product development to ensure that best in class conditions and standards are met
  • Work in collaboration with business colleagues to manage stock, availability and logistics to ensure our customers get the best quality service
  • Negotiate with customers to optimise value and operational efficiencies to deliver viable long-term product supply
  • Ensure all sales growth is profitable and sustainable
  • Ensure all customers are adhering to Flowerworld pre agreed credit limits.
  • Ensure all pricing and invoicing is carried out correctly

  • Exceptional knowledge of 3rd party sales and business growth
  • Exceptional commercial judgement with extensive account management exposure
  • Outstanding sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build strong, long lasting customer relationships
