The role of the Operations department is to enable the organisation in meeting those goals and to partner with the rest of the business as they continuously improve effectiveness.


 

The Commercial Operations team enables the success of all Sales and Business Development teams, driving overall commercial maturity, as well as providing management information, reporting and analysis which supports the executive business decision making process. The remit of the team covers all Canonical lines of business, across all geographies


 

The role holder will have excellent problem solving skills, is highly organised, project driven and agile, with a “can do attitude”  and an ambition to drive positive change in a fast growing company. They will have significant Salesforce expertise, including administration, reporting and forecasting, knowledge of Salesforce automation tools and experience of training new hires.


 

They will be experienced in providing regular sales analytics to management teams and dealing with the complexity that comes from working a global environment. You will work closely with people in multiple locations and teams including, Sales, Finance, Customer Success, People & Culture and Product Strategy.


 

The successful candidate will also drive and own specific projects from initial scoping to implementation and as part of the global operations team, sharing best practice, leveraging relationships and knowledge across the business is key to overall success.


 

A proven self starter, the candidate must be passionate and enthusiastic about Sales Operations and the business critical role it performs, and driven towards providing processes, procedures and automation which promotes operational efficiency.


 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

  • Operational support for sales people across Europe, Middle East and Africa, including training all new hires involved with CRM and general sales activity.

  • Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the sales function

  • Sales systems and process knowledge site maintenance, defining, implementing and educating on SFDC and operational best practice

  • Plan and facilitate how new products will be introduced to the sales team including necessary system and process changes for ordering through to fulfillment

  • Implement and design new processes and solutions from framing a challenge, to research and insights, through to concept approval and implementation. Work with multiple teams to understand their needs and requirements and ensure they are represented in any final solution

  • Analyse data to identify patterns, interpret the data and formulate a compelling story summarising the findings and providing recommendations, which includes actionable intelligence to deliver business value

  • Provide sales reports and related intelligence on an a agreed regular cadence

  • Experiment with new tools and techniques to constantly improve our processes and output

  • Design, implement and then own new sales processes and policies

  • Responsible for the Canonical E-commerce platform maintenance and Online shop management

  • Support the Commercial Operations Director with compensation design, including execution and monitoring

  • Must be willing to travel globally

  • Some out of hours working will be required, especially during key reporting and compensation cycles

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BSc business degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience ( and willing to take the required examination)

  • Good networker and influencer, with interpersonal skills, and able to work effectively in a geographically dispersed environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrable ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

  • 3-5 years experience in a sales operations or similar role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator

  • Sales and/or marketing experience, with experience in structuring and implementing initiatives with sales teams.

  • Additional European language(s)
