Technical Lead - Juju Core Networking
|Location:||Home based - North America or Europe|
Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, is seeking a lead technical engineer on the Juju Networking team. This role is critical to the success of the Juju product. In this position, you will not just write code; but will be defining and solving very complex cloud networking problems within a model driven environment. Example problems include handling of overlay networks, public and private networks on a single L2 device across OpenStack, bare metal, containers and public clouds. These exciting challenges make our customer’s experience modeling Big Software like OpenStack, Big Data and Kubernetes across bare metal and public/private clouds a breeze.
Juju is the leading operations modeling tool. We aspire to be at the center of a revolution in the datacenter, moving from “hardware defined” static resource allocation, to a new dynamic software defined datacenter. By bringing your in-depth cloud networking skills, this will enable our customers to build dynamic and scalable solutions to their orchestration problems.
Applicants should be passionate about the future of the software defined datacenter, in particular, software defined networking and modern networking topologies. Canonical is a globally distributed team of engineers who share that passion, and you will need to work well in that context.
