The Bank for International Settlements seeks a new Senior Analyst / Developer to develop and support the Bank’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and Global Payroll systems. In this role, you will be the principal contact for the HCM system and act as a bridge between IT and HR. You are a highly skilled PeopleSoft developer with a talent for business analysis. You demonstrate a high level of customer focus and enjoy the challenge of working in a complex, multi-cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain PeopleSoft HCM/Global Payroll solutions
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the PeopleSoft HCM environment, including Core HR, Employee and Manager Self-Service, Global Payroll, e-Performance
  • Collect and translate business requirements from HR and other business users
  • Ensure that PeopleSoft HCM is well managed, including maintaining an enhancements pipeline and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Work with HR to plan roadmap of projects and releases
  • Assist in the support of PeopleSoft Financials when required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in a computer science related discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of experience as a systems analyst or developer using PeopleSoft HCM and Global Payroll. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is an advantage
  • Expert technical knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM (9.2+) and Global Payroll, high level of proficiency in use of PeopleSoft toolset (8.54+) including the use of PUM
  • Experience in interface design and support (web services, QAS etc.)
  • Experience in designing solutions for HR-related and configuring / supporting PS application and web server infrastructure on Windows servers.
  • Experience in drafting functional specifications in a client- facing role.
  • Good understanding of the full application development lifecycle and quality assurance processes
  • Strong analytical skills, pragmatic problem-solver, quick learner
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and achieve objectives
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
