We are currently seeking a Jr Systems Administrator to work at the MPC facility in Bangalore. This exciting role offers exposure to state-of-the-art technology and the opportunity to learn from specialist digital media colleagues in a rapidly growing division of the business

Qualifications: B.E./ B.Tech/ Diploma /BSC /Bcom  in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or electronics.

Job Description:

  • Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
  • Performing effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on workstation,desktop,laptop.
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
  • Support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance
  • Perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
  • Inventory and provide accounting for resources including software, workstation and laptop systems.
  • Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company’s IT goals.
  • Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard Administrative functions as needed.
  • Be responsible for supporting the IT system to meet strategic goals.
  • Obtain and/or maintain technical certifications necessary for continued growth and success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Technical Skills: Required

  • Windows,Linux
  • Hardware and software installation and troubleshhoooting
  • IT support to internal users
  • Symantec Anti-virus or Similar
  • Good understanding of the OSI Layers
  • Understanding of routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Active Directory, SMTP, SNMP, POP3
  • Understanding of Storage and Filesystems (CIFS, NFS, DFS, SAMBA)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft server and client Architecture
  • Working knowledge of Linux server and client Architecture
  • Working knowledge of EMAIL and messaging (Preferably Lotus Domino)
  • Working experience under a compliance driven organization (ISO / ITIL / SOX)
  • Working experience with Ticketing System and its related processes (CM, IM etc.)
  • Working experience on open source technologies
