Description

Network and Telecoms Support position with a particular focus on supporting the key areas of Telecoms such as Mobile Devices, LAN/WAN, Wireless Network, NEC Phone System, VPN, security devices and the administration of same. Working as part of the ICT team, the successful candidate will have broader duties particularly in relation to end user support with these technologies. They will be self-motivated with a high level of initiative and maintain ICT skills current with latest technologies and practice.

Initial duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

Responsible for day to day support using the following technologies:

·       Mobileiron

·       Wandera

·       Palo Alto Firewall

·       Ironport mail filter

 

Provide 2nd line helpdesk support for Telecoms area as well as general support to users on various systems

·       Administration and support of the NEC phone system

·       Maintaining logs of Telecoms equipment

·       Firewall Administration

·       Wireless Network System Support (Aruba)

·       Audio Visual System support and maintenance

·       VPN support

·       Maintain written policies and procedures and change control documentation

Essential

·       3rd level qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, preferably to degree level

·       Relevant experience in an ICT support role /or similar environment.

 

Desirable

·       Experience with some of the technologies Mobileiron, Wandera. Palo Alto Firewall or Ironport mail filter

·       Experience working in a Helpdesk or customer support environment

·       Experience in Networking – Switchers/Routers

·       Experience in wider Telecoms Security Area
