ICT Support: Level 2

The duties of this position will support key business applications within the organisation such as GeoSmart (bespoke in-house application), ShareFlow, Dynamics CRM, REACH IT, RIPE and IUCLID databases and the front end administration of same. While application training will be provided, knowledge of Microsoft SQL and/or Sharepoint or Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be desirable. Working as part of the ICT team, the successful candidate will have broader duties particularly in relation to end user support with these applications. They will be self-motivated with a high level of initiative and maintain ICT skills current with latest technologies and practice. Initial duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

Responsible for the support of the GeoSmart Application project and the day-to-day administration and end user support of this system.

  • Key technical role in the team for major system changes proposed for GeoSmart in 2018.

  • Responsibility for helpdesk queries on use of the system.

  • Responsibility for updating data on the system where required – merging / deleting records following investigation.

  • End user training on the system.

  • End to end testing of changes to the system.

Ongoing admin tasks.

Support the ShareFlow Application and the underlying SharePoint technology.

Manage user access and security including audit preparation for various applications.

Support the INAB CRM dynamics system and other business applications as required.

Liaise with external application developers/vendors as required.

Responsibility for providing general 2nd level helpdesk support to users on a variety of systems.

Additional duties may be assigned depending on the business needs of the Unit.

Qualifications

  • Essential: 3rd level qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, preferably to degree level.

Experience

Desirable:

  • Ideally 2 years experience in a similar role.

  • Good working knowledge of working with databases.

  • Experience with MS SQL, Dynamics CRM and/or SharePoint.

  • Experience of system testing and user training.
