Deskside Support

Position: 5 month contract                    Location: Dublin City Centre                            Salary: €180-€220/day DOE

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of technical roadmap for the Service proposition particularly in the area of SCCM, SCOM and Service Now. 
  • Delivery of service tasks for projects: including Windows 10 image, SCCM packaging, Active Directory configurations; deployment and management of mobile devices
  • Work closely with the Service Lead to ensure the operational model is effective and achievable
  • Train and mentor Service Staff on the new technologies involved in the Service proposition ensuring the capability of the function is uplifted. 
  • Renew current BAU operational activities and produce a roadmap of improvements aligned with the new operational achievements. 

Experience Sought

  • Previous experience as a Technical lead in busy Operations/Service Desk environment particularly within the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience working in an outsourced IT environment with multiple service providers
  • Working as part of project team to deliver specific goals (preferably in Tech Lead role)
  • Knowledge and practical experience of IT Service Lifecycle, in particular Service Transition & Service Operations. Particular emphasis on ITIL framework and best practices
  • Ability to analyse service operating model and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail on governance processes and procedures is vital

Technical Requirements

  • SCCM 2012 configuration and operational management
  • SCOM 2012 configuration and operational management
  • Maintenance and management of large desk side estates - emphasis on desktop patching, anti-virus and software maintenance
  • Citrix Xen App 7.5 maintenance and support
  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of PKI infrastructure and Windows 10 
  • Bitlocker configuration and support
